Hoxton Health is under threat if it can’t continue to be a charity. Please read the Charity Commission document and respond with your positive experiences of Hoxton Health as a charity.
The Charity Commission for England and Wales is currently reviewing its approach to deciding whether an organisation which uses or promotes complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) is eligible to have charitable status.
As such, it has opened a public consultation to seek views on:
- the level and nature of evidence to support CAM
- conflicting and inconsistent evidence
- alternative therapies and the risk of harm
- palliative alternative therapy.
We strongly urge you to respond to this consultation.
The Professional Standards Authority for Health and Social Care will also be responding to the consultation, to highlight its Accredited Register programme, which aims to protect the public and help ensure their health and well-being.
